Here is something i wrote recently, please be kind I haven't written in awhile.

One Moment

I clearly remember the moment,
The specific moment I first laid eyes on you.
Setting across the room there were you
To caught up to notice me or any movement.

I could see you there,
Your mind wondering endlessly,
And I could almost swear
That for that one instant I saw it all
All that you are,
All that you were.

You looked so vulnerable
Yet you held so much power
Your beauty caught me off guard,
everything about you spoke to me.

Your eyes were no different than they are now,
They gave you away,
They told me your secret,
They told me something you didn't even know it was there.

I wondered
If you could tell
As much from looking into my eyes
as I did into yours.

You caught my eyes
something about you called me out
Called me out to meet you,
To Make even the slightest effort.

Your attitude didn't scare me
Because I knew that some how,
Some way you would come around and open up to me
To help you discover what was so easy to see.
